The Front of House Lead is responsible for supporting daily restaurant operations by leading the front-of-house team and ensuring excellent guest service. This position works a combination of serving shifts, cashier shifts, and leadership shifts, stepping in to oversee operations when the Store Manager is not present.

The FOH Lead sets the standard for professionalism, hospitality, teamwork, and efficiency while helping maintain smooth restaurant operations.

Position Summary

The FOH Lead acts as a key support role for management by helping guide the front-of-house team, maintaining service standards, and ensuring guests receive a great experience. When the Store Manager is not present, the FOH Lead helps oversee the shift, address guest concerns, and keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience

  • Lead by example in following the full steps of service

  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly

  • Maintain a welcoming and professional dining environment

Front of House Leadership

  • Support and guide servers and cashiers during shifts

  • Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and communication among staff

  • Help ensure proper pacing and flow during busy service periods

  • Assist with training new front-of-house employees

Shift Management

  • Help oversee front-of-house operations during shifts when the Store Manager is not present

  • Ensure staff are completing assigned duties and side work

  • Assist with maintaining service standards, cleanliness, and organization

  • Communicate operational issues or guest concerns to management

Serving & Cashier Responsibilities

  • Work scheduled shifts as both a server and cashier depending on business needs

  • Accurately take orders and process transactions

  • Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally

  • Maintain accuracy with orders and payments

Sales & Performance

  • Encourage upselling of appetizers, drinks, and specials

  • Promote positive guest experiences that lead to strong reviews and repeat business

  • Support restaurant goals related to service, hospitality, and sales

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience required

  • Serving experience preferred

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to stay organized and professional in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong focus on guest satisfaction and team support

Compensation: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
